Children’s Sacramental Programme

The Celebration of the Sacrament of Confirmation will be held at St. Michael’s Church on Monday 16, Tuesday 17 and Wednesday 18 June commencing at 7:00pm.

As with all programs we invite you to register your child/ren via this online registration form. This year the Sacrament of Confirmation will only be held at St. Michael’s Church Baulkham Hills.

The Sacrament of Confirmation is available to all children of the Parish who are 10/11 years of age or older and who have received the Sacraments of Penance and Eucharist. Children must be at least 10½ (usually Year 5/6) at the time of the celebration of the Sacrament.

For the successful completion of the sacramental program, the following conditions must be met:

   Attendance of parents and child/ren at the Sunday Mass at 9am (OLOL) or 10am (St. Michael’s) during the period of sacramental preparation is strongly recommended.

 – Mandatory attendance of parents and child/ren at all weekly preparation sessions. There are only four weekly sessions. In case of non-attendance, you must provide valid reasons. [Non-valid reasons are e.g. sports games, dancing classes, school camps]

 – Please complete this form to enrol in the Confirmation Program for 2025. If you have more than one child enrolling in the Program, one form is required for each participating child.

Enrolment registrations need to be completed by Saturday 22 March 2025.

The program this year will again involve a compulsory parent information evening followed by 4 weeks of face to face sessions, to be held at St. Michael’s Church presented by Fr. Joe. There will also be a compulsory parent formation evening to be held at St. Michael’s School Hall on the first weekly session.

The compulsory parent information evening will involve a brief understanding of the Sacrament and your commitment to the program. Session times will be available at this meeting.

The Parent Information Evenings will be held on Monday 7th April and Tuesday 8th April at 7.30pm at St. Michael’s Church. You only need to attend either Monday or Tuesday.

Obligatory attendance of parents and child at the Rite of Enrolment Sunday Mass at St Michael’s at 10am on Sunday 27 April.

Session 1: Monday 28 April for children in church, parents’ formation session in the School Hall

Session 2: Monday 05 May

Session 3: Monday 12 May

Session 4: Monday 19 May
